Last night, as part of a Delicious Vinyl 20th anniversary party (at a silent movie theater of all places), I watched excerpts from a upcoming documentary on LA hip hop dancing from 1982-1989 called the Suns of James Brown, saw a performance by the Soul Brothers and became fascinated by Mr. Animation, self-proclaimed one of the Top 5 poppers in the world. Check out the myspace. There's more I want to talk about with this guy, but I have to sleep.

Friday funny 5.9.08
Can't say I like his music (mainly cause I haven't heard too much of it), but I know he's a good guitar player and this video is totally worthwile.

A really really big house
Ready for some Monday ridiculousness? The fifth richest guy in the world is building himself a new home.... to the tune of $2 billion. Its a 27-story tall building in Mumbai without adjective to describe the outrageousness. You must see the video. There are also pictures and more from forbes.com. Some of the amenities:
- Nine elevators
- A ceiling 80% covered in crystal chandeliers
- Finely woven Indian rugs!
- A full fledged movie theater with wine tasting room
- Health club
- and of course a six-story garage
